Opposition will regret ban on electoral bonds: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi defended electoral bonds and said that the opposition would regret the ban on electoral bonds.

Speaking to news agency ANI, PM Modi added they left a trail of payments made and the opposition would regret the ban on electoral bonds.

Opposition leaders have been attacking the BJP over the electoral bonds scheme, while Rahul Gandhi called it 'the biggest extortion racket in the world.'

In a landmark verdict on Feb 15, the Supreme Court scrapped the Centre's electoral bonds scheme of anonymous political funding, calling it 'unconstitutional'.
