Gandhi family has given up its 'bastion': Smriti Irani on Rahul's Amethi exit

In an exclusive interview with India Today's Consulting Editor Rajdeep Sardesai, Union minister and BJP candidate Smriti Irani talked about the decision by Rahul Gandhi not to contest the elections from Amethi. 

She stated that this was a clear sign that the Gandhi family had given up on their so-called bastion. Irani went on to discuss the social and economic conditions in Amethi, her significant achievements, and why she believes the Gandhis chose not to fight in these elections.
