BJP releases 10th candidate list for Lok Sabha polls, drops Kirron Kher from Chandigarh

The BJP on Wednesday dropped Bollywood actor Kirron Kher's name from its candidate list. She currently represents the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat in Parliament. The party, in its tenth list, replaced Kher with Sanjay Tandon, the party's Chandigarh president. The 10th list comprises nine candidates -- one each in Chandigarh and West Bengal; and seven in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP also dropped the name of Rita Bahuguna Joshi, who currently represents Prayagraj Lok Sabha seat.
