EC vs EC before last phase of election over clean chit to PM Modi

Day ahead of the last phase of polling in the Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission's (EC) split is wide open.

It all started with Ashok Lavasa's letter to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEO) that he will be recusing from Election Commission (EC) meetings as his dissent was not being recorded on clearances given by the poll panel to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over alleged poll code violations.
