Before the assembly could even reach to the much anticipated vote of trust, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa announced his resignation.
Ahead of the floor test, Yeddyurappa in an emotional speech thanked voters of Karnataka and assured that the Bharatiya Janata party would win 28 out of 28 wins in the Lok Sabha.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, too took a jibe at the BJP after what happened at the Vidhana Soudha today.
"Why did Yeddyurappa even take the oath when he didn't have the numbers? This (15 days time period given by governor) was orchestrated by the BJP to poach Congress and JD(S) MLAs. Where is the ED and CBI now? Why don't they take congnisance of this?", Tejashwi was quoted as saying.
