Speaking under BJP's pressure: Shettar counters Yediyurappa's remark on his defeat in Karnataka polls

Countering veteran BJP leader BS Yediyurappa's remark in Hubli, calling for Jagadish Shettar's "defeat", the latter said that he was speaking under his party's pressure. 

While Yediyurappa said that all BJP leaders would work hard to ensure Jagadish Shettar does not win from Hubli-Dharwad Central, Shettar said the BJP veteran would not have made the statement had the BJP not given his son, Vijayendra, a party ticket.

Shettar called it quits with the BJP after his name was not listed in the second candidate list for the upcoming Karnataka polls. A day later, he joined the Congress.
