Did not mention Modi in my speech: Mallikarjun Kharge clarifies after 'poisonous snake' jibe

After facing backlash over 'poisonous snake' jibe, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge clarified, stating that he did not mention PM Modi in his speech.

Clarifying his remark, Kharge said: “The Bharatiya Janata Party is like a snake. If you try to lick you will ultimately die after that. I didn't talk about him (PM Modi). I don't make personal statements. I mean to say their ideology is like snake. If you try to lick, death will be inevitable.”

Meanwhile, BJP leaders have lashed out at Mallikarjun Kharge for calling PM Modi a 'poisonous snake'.
