Baba Siddique's son Zeeshan joins Ajit Pawar's NCP ahead of Maharashtra polls

Zeeshan Siddique, son of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, joined the NCP faction led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday. He had been expelled from Congress in August over allegations of cross-voting in the Maharashtra legislative council elections, a charge he previously denied.

Zeeshan announced that he will contest the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections from the Vandre East constituency, a seat he won in 2019 while running on a Congress ticket.
