In an exclusive interview with India Today, Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor talked about the release of his party's first list of 51 candidates for the Bihar polls. He stated the candidates, including former IPS officers and academics, were chosen based on character and experience, not because they were denied tickets elsewhere. Kishore commented on his potential candidacy from Raghopur, noting a decision will be made on the 11th. He strongly criticised a promise of a government job for every family, attributing it to Tejashwi. Kishore said, "insay bada jhooth bolne vaala yahaan dharati per koi hai nahi ya toh ye murkh hai ya SAB pure Bihar ko murkh bana rahe hai" (there is no one on this earth who tells bigger lies than him, either he is a fool or he is making a fool of all of Bihar). He calculated the promise amounts to 3.5 crore jobs, while only 26.5 lakh government positions exist in the state.
