Election Commission gears up for Bihar polls: 20,600 new polling stations added

The Election Commission of India has begun preparations for the upcoming Bihar polls. The number of polling stations in Bihar has been increased to 98,498, with an addition of around 20,600 new stations. The voter list revision process is underway, with over 5 crore voters having registered their mobile numbers out of a total of more than 7 crore voters. The ECI is focusing on making voting more accessible by reducing the distance voters need to travel to polling booths.
