Former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) turncoats Champai Soren and Sita Soren were among the 66 candidates, whose names the BJP has released in its first list for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.Â
The party has fielded Marandi from the Dhanwar Assembly segment, while Champai Soren will be vying for the Saraikela seat. Sita Soren will be contesting from the Jamtara Assembly constituency.
Elections to the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20. The results will be declared on November 23.
