How far are we from getting a Covid-19 vaccine?

The entire world is busy finding a vaccine for the novel coronavirus that has infected over 2.8 crore people and killed 9 lakh people globally. As on date, 50 coronavirus cases are still developing, 58 are being tested on animals, 38 are in the human trials stage while one vaccine, Russia's Sputnik-V, is ready for distribution.
