The BJP has had a dream run in Uttar Pradesh since 2014. The win in two consecutive assembly elections has been a record of sorts. This was preceded by a decade of lacklustre performance between 2002-2012. On the other hand, the BSP has been going downhill after touching some sort of peak in 2007.
