Covid threat not over yet, all precautions need to be followed: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, said that the Covid threat is not over yet and people need to follow all precautions against the disease. Speaking at a meeting with chief ministers of various states, he said that despite the threat, India is in a better situation now.

Citing the rise in infections in several states in India, PM Modi cautioned people and asked them to be on guard.

India on Wednesday reported 2,927 new Covid cases, taking the active count to 16,279. The daily positivity rate now stands at 0.58%. The number of Covid fatalities recorded over the last 24 hours was 32.
