India reports 5,880 new Covid cases, nationwide drills at hospitals start today

India recorded 5,880 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the active caseload to 35,199, according to health ministry data on Monday. The daily positivity rate stands at 6.91 per cent while the weekly positivity rate is at 3.67 per cent. A nationwide mock drill will take place in both public and private hospitals across India on April 10 and 11.
