Uttarakhand prepares for second royal bath of Maha Kumbh amid rising Covid-19 cases

Amid a spike in Covid-19 cases in Uttarakhand, the state is preparing for the second royal bath of Maha Kumbh Mela on Monday. Arrangements have been made to ensure the massive pilgrimage is conducted as safely as possible.

A negative Covid (RT-PCR) test report is mandatory in order to register for the Mela. Testing and isolation centres have been set up and a base hospital with 140 ambulances arranged.
