Union Cabinet discusses measures to counter second wave of Covid infections

The Union Cabinet took part in a virtual meeting on Friday to discuss measures to counter the second wave of Covid-19 infections that has devastated parts of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who chaired this meeting, told ministers that it is crucial to identify and address issues at the local level.

All arms of the government are working unitedly and rapidly to deal with the situation, said PM Modi.

This meeting was also attended by the Principal Secretary to the PM and the Cabinet Secretary.
