In an exclusive with India Today, vaccine scientist Dr Gagandeep Kang talks about Covid vaccines, safety norms and more.

Talking about the efficacy of Covid vaccines and safety norms, Dr Kang said, "I don't think we need to be cautious because the news we had from mRNA vaccines and the vaccines that are based on adenovirus-vectored platforms is good. What has been in the media lately has been a series of information about the vaccine, co vaccine and about the Serum Institute vaccine where serious adverse events have been reported. Serious adverse events are a feature of all clinical trials when you test any drug or vaccine on a large number of people, some time things won't go the way they are intended."
