To reopen schools, teachers should be given vaccine priority: Lancet's India Task Force

School teachers and staff should receive priority vaccinations ahead of the next academic year, the Lancet Covid-19 Commission's India Task Force recommended.

The India Task Force says anganwadi workers are already designated as frontline workers and are eligible for priority vaccinations. School teachers and staff should be included in this group on an urgent basis, prioritizing primary school teachers and assisting staff followed by secondary and senior secondary teachers and support staff.
