Need to create vaccines to target coronavirus variants, says Niti Aayog's Dr VK Paul

Niti Aayog member Dr VK Paul on Tuesday said that there is a chance of our vaccines becoming ineffective in emerging situations. Paul added that there is a need to create vaccines, using the same platform, to “target the variant of the day". He said that the priority right now is to make sure that there is universal vaccine coverage and that no one is left behind. He also stressed the need for investments in science to tackle the pandemic. Watch this report.
