Staring at the second wave of coronavirus with rapidly rising number of Covid-19 cases, the Maharashtra government Saturday extended Covid-19 related restrictions in the state till April 15. The state reported 35,726 new Covid-19 cases and 166 deaths on Saturday.
The government has already imposed a statewide night curfew that will come into effect from midnight today. It also announced a complete ban on holding of all types of gatherings. This includes gatherings of political and religious nature.
