India records over 2 lakh cases for second consecutive day | What's the situation across states?

As of Friday, India has 14.71 lakh active cases of Covid-19 while 1.24 crore patients have recovered. As per the Ministry of Health, a total of 11.44 crore doses of approved vaccines - Covaxin and Covishield - have been administered across the country to date. Reeling under the pressure of the second wave of infections, states and union territories have put in place a number of restrictions, including local lockdowns, weekend and night curfews and enhanced testing. Moreover, several states have been reporting a shortage of vaccines, hospital beds and ventilators.
