As India continues to combat the coronavirus pandemic, India Today in its first E-Conclave examined the impact of such a crisis on the mental health of children. In the first session India Today's E-Conclave Corona Series, we spoke to child psychologist and writer Shelja Sen about the impact of the pandemic on children.
When asked if such a crisis could leave children traumatised, Shelja Sen said, "I think, we should not use the word traumatise. I think, children are facing adversity. But on the other hand, one should be very observant with them -- they might throw tantrums, have bad dreams, fight with siblings, fight with parents, won't get sleep, won't eat etc."
