Crackdown on negligent officers ordered after 20 in UP given mixed vaccine doses

The chief health officer ordered a crackdown on the negligent officers at the primary health centre in Uttar Pradesh's Siddharthnagar district after 20 people were given a mixed shot of Covishield and Covaxin there. The negligence of doctors and the health department has now sparked a debate over the use of a cocktail of vaccines for treating Covid-19.

The auxiliary nursing midwifery (ANM) has been suspended for negligence and those vaccinated are being monitored. The district magistrate told India Today that it was wrong to assess the entire department due to the negligence of one employee. The doctors who were present are also being investigated.
