15-day complete curfew in Maharashtra begins

Amid surge in the Covid cases, a 15-day complete curfew in Maharashtra began at 8 pm today. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday announced severe, curfew-like restrictions on public movement over the next 15 days across the state.

Section 144 of CrPC prohibiting the assembly of five or more people at one spot will be in force during the period.
