Covaxin will prove to be better against new strain of Covid-19: ICMR chief Balram Bhargava

In an exclusive interview with India Today, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Director General Dr Balram Bhargava talks about Bharat Biotech's Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin, which has been approved by the DGCI for emergency use, its rollout plan and a host of other issues.

ICMR chief Balram Bhargava said the emergency use authorisation was given after due consideration and Covaxin will prove to be better against the new strain of Covid that has infected over 50,000 people in the United Kingdom and over two dozen in India so far.
