First batch of Indian-manufactured Sputnik V gets clearance

The first batch of Sputnik V vaccine manufacture in India has been issued clearance by the Central Drugs Laboratory(CDL), Kasauli. Indian envoy to Russia, Ambassador DB Venkatesh Varma, announced in a media briefing in Russia that India will be producing 850 million doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.
