Covishield vs Covaxin: Indians travelling abroad don't really have a choice

In India, the two Covid-19 vaccines that have largely been administered so far are Covishield and Covaxin.

While Serum Institute of India's Covishield is accepted for entry into more than 130 countries across the globe, the indigenously developed Covaxin is currently accepted in only nine other nations.

In this scenario, the need of the hour is to mount pressure on global health authorities to recognise Covaxin so that there are no obstacles to international travel later.
