Hyderabad is aiming to become a global technology hub, focusing on innovation, start-ups, and talent development. At the India Today Conclave South 2025, D Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT, E&C, Industries & Commerce, outlined the cityâs vision.
Babu said Hyderabad is contributing to national growth rather than competing with neighbouring states. âWe want to see the nation grow. Hyderabad contributes a lot to Indiaâs GDP,â he said, recalling the cityâs IT foundation since 1992.
The state plans a 200-acre AI city near the airport to promote R&D, start-ups, and emerging technologies. The Young India Skills University will train students according to industry needs.
Babu also highlighted semiconductors, employment, MSME support, and technology in agriculture and manufacturing. He pointed out the impact of global trade policies on textiles and urged central support for affected workers. Hyderabad aims to combine innovation, industry, and social welfare to become a global tech leader.
