At the India Today Conclave Mumbai 2025, Shrikant Shinde shared his own political journey, emphasising that he âaccidentallyâ entered politics. Initially pursuing a medical career with an MBBS degree and planning super-specialisation in orthopaedics, Shinde said he focused on studies and never intended to join politics.Â
Shinde addressed the perception of 'brand politics' in Maharashtra, asserting that his party represents the 'common man'.
He also touched upon civic issues in Mumbai and Thane, defending his party's work on infrastructure projects like concrete roads and redevelopment.
He issued a direct challenge to political rivals for a public debate on allegations of corruption, stating his party would contest upcoming municipal elections as part of the Mahayuti alliance.
