Chidambaram slams NDA govt for not doing enough for poor during Covid-19 crisis

Speaking at a session during the India Today Conclave 2023, P Chidambaram criticised the BJP-led NDA government for not doing enough to support poor people during the Covid-19 crisis.

Highlighting the plight faced by migrant labourers during lockdowns, he said, “The government was wrong in not doing a fiscal stimulus. That’s why three crore people had to migrate from other cities and states, back to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.”
