Video: Boy playing outside his home in Pune attacked by stray dogs

A child was seriously injured after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs in Pune when he was playing outside his home. 

The incident took place in the city's Yash Park area. CCTV footage of the incident shows the child standing by the side of a partly flooded road and waving away at a black dog.

In the footage, the boy shows no signs of provocation, yet suddenly, a pack of dogs charges at him. Knocked off his feet by the attack, he tumbles to the ground.

CCTV captures the harrowing moment as the dogs try to drag him towards nearby bushes.

His screams alert a nearby woman, who rushes to intervene, throwing stones in an attempt to drive the dogs away. Despite her efforts, the dogs remain relentless until two men arrive, forcing the animals to flee.
