Hyderabad inundated: Heavy rains lash city, residents await relief

Moderate to heavy rains lashed Hyderabad today, causing severe waterlogging in several areas of the city and neighbouring Secunderabad. In Secunderabad's Waraseguda area, a main road is completely submerged, resembling a pond and causing significant problems for local shopkeepers and residents as water from an overflowing stream entered their houses. People in the area claim that despite multiple complaints to authorities, a permanent solution has not been found. According to the residents, "this is the situation in every rainy season." Many other low-lying areas are also inundated, with residents awaiting assistance from authorities. The IMB has predicted more moderate to heavy rainfall in the coming hours, raising concerns about the situation worsening in vulnerable parts of the city.
