Delhi is facing a dual weather crisis with severe waterlogging from incessant rain and floodwaters from the rising Yamuna river. The river remains above the danger mark, causing floods in low-lying areas, relief camps, and a village in Noida. Floodwaters have reached major parts of the capital, including Kashmirigate, Kalindi Kunj, ITO, and the Delhi Secretariat. Rescue operations by NDRF and SDRF are underway, especially in areas like Yamuna Bazaar where boats were used. So far, over 8,000 people have been moved to tents and 2,000 to permanent shelters as authorities grapple with the situation. While the Yamuna's water level is reportedly receding, the situation remains precarious, with the important takeaway being, "the danger is not over is what we are picking up."
