Gun-waving riders make off with Rs 80 lakh in daylight robbery in Delhi
According to the police, the incident occurred at around 3.30 pm when two employees of a cash disbursing firm were transporting cash on a scooter. As they reached the Shastri Park area, three people riding a motorcycle allegedly threatened them with a firearm and made off with cash.

A daylight robbery was reported from northeast Delhi's Shastri Park area on Monday with armed assailants intercepting employees of a cash disbursing firm and fleeing with a bag reportedly containing Rs 80 lakh, police said.
According to the police, the incident occurred at around 3.30 pm when two employees of the firm were transporting cash on a scooter. As they reached the Shastri Park area, three people riding a motorcycle allegedly threatened them with a firearm and made off with cash. They fired a gunshot before riding away.
"One of the employees sustained injuries during the incident and was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was discharged after receiving treatment," an officer said.
A case has been registered at Shastri Park Police Station in connection with the brazen robbery.
Senior officers said CCTV footage from the surrounding area and possible escape routes is being scanned.
The police said the role of the cash disbursing firm's employees is also under scanner.
"Statements of the victims and other witnesses are being recorded to reconstruct the incident. Call detail records and technical data are also being analysed to identify possible links and track the suspects," he added.
