The language war in Karnataka's Bengaluru has reignited, with the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), the city's civic body, cracking down on businesses displaying English signboards. Despite a deadline of February 28th set by the BBMP, BBMP workers pulled dpwn the signboards.Â
Meanwhile, BBMP officers claimed that they don't want to wait until the 28th of February and will continue cracking down on all shops and business establishments that do not have 60% Kannada written on their signboards.Â
