PAN card for deposits above Rs 50,000, no requisition slip for Rs 20,000 | Exchange starts today

Individuals can start exchanging or depositing Rs 2,000 notes at banks from today. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said there was no need to rush or panic, adding that the exchange or deposit facility for Rs 2,000 notes will be open till September 30, 2023. On Monday, he also said that a shop cannot decline to accept the 2000 denomination.
