The fuel prices hiked again with petrol crossing the mark of Rs 100 across several cities in India. The state-run Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) has hiked fuel prices again on Sunday with petrol crossing the Rs 100-mark in Mumbai. It will be for the first time in the financial capital that petrol crossed the Rs 100 mark. In Mumbai, today, petrol prices stand at Rs 100.19 per litre whereas a litre of diesel is at Rs 92.17.
After the fresh hike today, Mumbai became the first metro city where people had to pay more than Rs 100 for a litre of petrol. Other than that, fuel prices in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are also touching the sky. After Bhopal, Jaipur became the second state capital where the price of petrol went beyond Rs 100 per litre. Fuel prices in the Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan remain the highest in the country with one litre of petrol available at Rs 104.65 and diesel priced at Rs 97.53 per litre.
