Definitely a bold move: RBI Governor on FM Sitharaman's proposal for corporate tax rate cuts

On Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposal to slash corporate tax for domestic and new local manufacturing companies, RBI Shaktikanta Das praised the government for its "bold" move.

"This is definitely a bold measure... will augur very well for our economy," Das said at the India Today Conclave 2019. The new tax rates will bring India closer to "tax rates in this part of the world", Das said.
