Tata Punch EV facelift revealed ahead of February 20 launch
Tata Motors has revealed the Punch EV facelift ahead of its February 20 launch, introducing subtle styling updates, a slightly reworked front-end design and potential feature upgrades, while retaining the same electric powertrain options.

Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the facelifted Punch EV ahead of its launch on February 20, bringing with it a series of subtle updates. The changes focus largely on the exterior design, while the mechanicals are expected to remain unchanged. Tata recently updated the petrol-powered Punch as well.
More EV-focused front design
The most noticeable updates are concentrated at the front, where the Punch EV now carries a cleaner and more contemporary look. The facelift introduces a revised fascia with a more closed-off grille compared to the current Punch EV. Unlike the earlier version, the black trim element that connected the headlamps has been removed, giving the nose a more minimal and uncluttered appearance.
The LED daytime running lights have been reworked into a slimmer. The headlamp units themselves have been repositioned lower on the bumper and appear more seamlessly integrated into the overall design.
Further down, the bumper features sharper lines and revised contours, while the scuff plate has also been subtly redesigned. These changes collectively give the front end a more structured and modern feel, clearly differentiating the facelifted EV from both its predecessor and the ICE-powered Punch.
New colour
Adding visual freshness is a new yellow paint option with a contrasting black roof. The shade appears similar to the Sunlit Yellow seen on the Harrier and does a good job of highlighting the revised styling details.
Interior and features: What to expect
While Tata has not yet revealed the cabin, changes inside are expected to be evolutionary rather than revolutionary. The Punch EV facelift could receive the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system currently offered on the Nexon EV, running updated software.
The feature list is likely to remain strong, including a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera system, auto-dimming IRVM, connected car technology and ambient lighting. Safety could see a boost as well, with a Level 2 ADAS suite expected to be introduced.
Powertrain likely to remain unchanged
Mechanically, the Punch EV facelift is expected to continue with the same battery and motor options. These include a 25kWh battery pack with an ARAI-claimed range of 265km and a 35kWh unit offering up to 365km. The smaller battery produces 82hp and 114Nm, while the larger pack delivers a healthier 120bhp and 190Nm of torque.
Pricing and rivals
Prices for the facelifted Punch EV are expected to see a marginal increase over the current model, which is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom). With its updated styling and potential feature upgrades, the Punch EV facelift aims to stay competitive in the Rs 15 lakh electric car segment.
