Top SUV launches of 2024 - From Tata Curvv to Mahindra Thar Roxx

The Hyundai Creta facelift entered the market in January. It is priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Being the largest-selling mid-size SUV in India, it rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Tata Curvv and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

The Tata Curvv is available as an electric vehicle (EV) as well as an internal combustion engine (ICE) model.

Launched in August, the Tata Curvv EV is priced between Rs 17.49 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Curvv ICE was introduced in September in the price bracket of Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom).

The XUV 3XO has been a real disruptor in the compact SUV segment. It was launched towards the end of April. Till August, it has clocked sales of 41,501 units.

Priced between Rs 7.49 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra XUV 3XO was developed with a total investment of Rs 650 crore. It competes against the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx was launched in August. While the SUV is available in RWD and 4WD variants, the prices of 4WD variants have not been announced yet.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx price for RWD starts at Rs 12.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the likes of the Tata Harrier and MG Hector.

The Kia Sonet facelift was launched in January. It is currently priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 15.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact SUV has naturally-aspirated petrol, turbo petrol and diesel engine options with manual and automatic transmission choices.

The Kia Sonet takes on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
