Bajaj Auto has expanded its electric scooter lineup with the launch of the new Chetak C25, priced at 91,399 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Positioned as the most affordable model in the Chetak portfolio, the C25 brings a lighter, more agile and youth-oriented avatar to the brand without losing the signature metal-bodied solidity that distinguishes Chetak in the EV market.

Unveiled in Pune, the Chetak C25 is designed specifically for dense urban environments and shorter daily commutes. It features a 2.5kWh battery offering up to 113km of claimed range and a top speed of 55kmph. The battery charges from 0–80 per cent in 2.25 hours, while a full charge takes 3 hours 45 minutes. Bajaj says the scooter’s compact proportions and nimble handling aim to make everyday movement “easy and intuitive” for both new and experienced riders.

The C25 continues the brand’s use of metal monocoque body. Its neo-classic design is complemented by a signature DRL headlamp, smooth joint-free panels and six vibrant colour schemes with street-art inspired graphics. A 25-litre boot adds everyday practicality, offering enough space for groceries or daily essentials.

Despite being the entry point to the Chetak range, the C25 is equipped with features like hill-hold assist, guide-me-home lighting and front disc brakes to enhance convenience and safety. Bajaj says the model has been crafted to address the growing demand for independent mobility solutions within multi-scooter households.

Eric Vas, President, Urbanite Business at Bajaj Auto said the C25 represents a shift in urban mobility patterns, "Shorter trips, tighter streets and the need for independent movement are shaping how people use electric scooters today. While contemporary in form, the fundamentals remain unmistakably Chetak—solidity, sturdiness and reliability."

With the new model, Bajaj now offers a more comprehensive Chetak portfolio comprising the C25 and the higher-range 30 and 35 Series variants. The C25 is available across all Chetak dealerships pan-India.

Bajaj Auto continues to hold its position as the world’s most valuable two- and three-wheeler company, with global sales exceeding 4.6 million units in FY24-25 and a presence in more than 100 countries.
